I have made several "bride's maids" dresses for pooches. They have been for the smaller breeds. The maid of honor walked down the aisle holding the pooch in one and in another one was carried by the best man and in another case by the mother of the bride. For a larger dog, I think having them prance down the aisle attached to a fancy leash with the one of the bride's maids or best man would be very nice too.
