Roxy has Grade 3 LP in both rear legs. The General Vet and a Specialist confirmed. She will have surgery for both rear legs at the same time, next Wed. 8/9/06
My General Vet doesn't do that type of surgery. He told me that since we live in NY that we have some of the best specialists and that I should take advantage of that (since we have oppted to have the surgery done). A specialist would best be able to 'do' any that is needed that may require skill and expereince with that particular surgery. (Meaning that it may require the 'v' in the bone to be sculpted, and that's where a Specialist would have the best expertise).
