I would say no. Your dog was just scared. She should not have brought her dogs over to the small dog side. I would be LIVID if that happened to us. I would never dream of taking Sadie to the big dog side...we stay away from them. Neither one of us likes most big dogs, so we don't go near them. So she was at fault, not you.
When we had our get together a few weeks ago at the dog park, there was a guy that came in with a Golden Retriever puppy. She was still really small (a little bigger than our dogs). But she was so playful that she was getting on our dogs' nerves. They all kind of growled at her. The guy realized it and took the dog & left. That's what that woman should have done.
