At 4 weeks you can soak puppy dry food with evaporated milk (dilute 50/50 with water) make it soupy and try..mien usually start eating from the dish aroudn 5 weeks..I have to keep mom away for several hours so they get hungry. I perfer mine to be weaned by 6 weeks..better for mom.
I do not believe in routine worming of young puppies unless they have worms. Take a stool to the vet..worm meds are a harsh toxin, why run it through a tiny pup for good measure..I have the vet check stools at 6, 9 weeks. You can give NemexII at 10 to 12 weeks and it is very safe. I have seen too many very sick pups who were wormed at 3 to 6 weeks...
Make a place for pottying..put down some paper so they can get out of their bed and learn good habits from the start, they will pee in their beds if there is no room for paper....good luck |
