I'm on the Hyper-Thyroid side with very low blood pressure. It's not bad enough to be on meds but it didn't occur to me that may be the cause. Hmmm...

As far as the bed thing... I swish my feet really fast like I'm making the bottom of a snow angel and let the friction warm the sheets. I sleep under the cover to keep my head warm....
