I like it in the winter because it is not so hot and humid - no, the water is not warm. I'm sorry, not sure where to stay - we have a travel trailer and stay in it - or in my husband's fishing cabin - which is not in Port Aransas, but close enough to visit.

I just prefer the Texas coast in the winter because it is usually warm (but not warm enough to get into the water), but not so horribly hot and humid as in the summer.
