Thumbs up choking noise

I am so happy that your puppy will be alright, you did the right thing by getting a second opinion. Years ago when I adopted my pom she was making a choking noise.
I thought she was going to die so barefoot in my old pjs and covered in house paint, I rushed her to the closest vet. I burst through the door shouting "My dog is dying!!!!!"
The receptionist put her finger in my dog's mouth and gently pushed on the roof of her mouth. My dog stopped "choking" right away. The vet saw me and explained it was a "collapsed pallet".
The top back of her throat just hung down and needed to be pushed back up.
She continued to have this problem about twice a month but I then knew how to fix it. I googled this and could not find any info. Perhaps the term he used "collapsed pallet" was not the medical term for it.
Respectfully,
