We don't have one on Reagan, our yorkie, but one for our big dog. Someone asked about vibration. I believe that most will either vibrate or beep before a shock is given as a warning. Your dog will eventually associate the beep/vibration with the shock and barking and stop barking before even getting shocked. Also our dog is like njyorkieluvr's he hardly ever has to wear it. Once in a blue moon we will put it on him for a bit. Honestly the last time we put it on him was probably 4-5 months ago. In the beginning we would put it on him a bit more often though. But even now when we do put it on him he knows just to sopt barking, so he doesn't even get shocked.
