I understand your irritations when it comes to groomers. I cringe when I think about having to take Sonny, Herc and Missi. I know I will eventually have to give in and go someday but I just can't find one I like or they like. Every one I've taken them to- either they didn't like them or I didn't.
I have a friend in AL that just took her little boy (he weighs 3lbs) to a new groomer and she cut his nose hair off. But little Sam didn't act the same when she got him home. My friend later found out the lady that groomed him also sedates the dogs she grooms. My friend said it was illegal in AL. Our worry with little Sam is that she could have over dosed him. Now I am really cautious with groomers. I know there are good ones out there...I just can't find any in my area.
