Pups get a number of shots... most def not just three. I can think of a few that Mojito has gotten or will get:
DA2PPV
Rabies (Required in NYS)
Kennel cough (Bordetella)
Take a look at the link below just to get an idea (this is the vet I take Mojito to but different vets choose to give shots at different times)
I would also say that you should feel comfortable with your vet. If you're (even slightly) questioning her/his actions, move on to someone else...
