Well I will not just sell my babies to anyone...1st off I've been 100% honest with everyone here and I have NOTHING to hide! I will get info from people or keep my babies! Yes I may end up with a house full but so be it to insure they have a good home...
People, wake up and smell the roses. All buyers are not idiots. People are not buying a house from you and making payments on it. Once a dog is sold, to me, its none of the persons business what I do once it leaves their hands. I myself in no way am saying that buyers are idiots!!! & I feel it would be my business if U bought a dog from me...For that is MY duty as a LOVING, CARING, GOOD, CONCERNED BREEDER to wonder and yes maybe call the people who buy my babies to see how they are doing & YES EVEN ASK FOR PHOTOS every now and then!!! Maybe U don't understand how it is to have a litter of babies but let me tell U with the way people are nowday it's a wonder we as breeders are so worried about what homes our babies go to!!!!
If people are so worried about what is gonna happen to them, why dont they just keep them so they will know what happens. Personally once I buy a dog, I feel like its my baby and I dont even like the idea of people saying whether you can breed one or not. I mean once something is bought and paid for to me it is my property, meaning, NO LONGER YOURS. Well @ 1st I thought it was bad for people saying U should have a contract for people not to be able to breed U're puppies...But after ME myself calling some ads in the paper to see what the other breeders in my OWN home town was like and after reading some post here on this fourm I can 100% understand why it is a big deal to breeders!!!! And there is a beautiful light colored YORKEE that I see RUNNING around in my neighbors back yards and one neighbor has a HOUND and my husband said he saw that HOUND trying to MATE with that Beautiful YORKEE...NOW U CALL THAT A GOOD OWNER??? & NO THIS YORKEE doesn't just get out under the fence it runs like this ALL the time!!! And NOW I'm ONE of those BREEDERs who is concerned about puppy mills and MY DOGS being in one of them!! For I will NOT breed Tiffanie MY OWN FEMALE but ONCE a year for I don't want her wore out, she is a beautiful baby and I just don't want her to go through it all the time!!!!!!!! That isn't the point of anyone saying that dog isn't U'res but we as breeders MUST make SURE examples like my neighbors doesn't happen!!!!
This sounds like grandparents trying to tell their kids what they can or cant do with their own children. Well I have a new 1st grandchild and YES I tell her MOTHER what I think about how she does certian things....What MOTHER/GRANDMA doesn't if they LOVE/CARE about their children or grandchildren??? But U know what ALL 4 of my GIRLS respect my thoughts and listen, sure they may get mad but they get over it, just like I do!!!!!
So people can keep adding all their rules in their contracts and wanting to know your history and soon their will be a lot of breeders and back yard breeders with a house full of dogs if others feel like I do. YES we as breeders has that right within reason, just like U as the buyer has rights too within reason!!!!
I feel like its bad business to sell anything and have the right of taking their money and then telling them what to do with what they bought, yet nobody that I know of will give you back your money if the dog is suppose to be a certain size and isnt or a certain color or isnt. Well this is WHY I'm telling MY BUYERS I really don't know what size ANY of my babies will grow up to be...That is a 100% tough call! So they know what they are getting maybe larger/smaller then they theirselves might expect!
the buyer can not guarantee you their gonna always keep this particular dog if their not happy with it, but once purchased, its is theirs whether they like how it turns out or not. I would never throw mine away but its my business if I sell it to someone else or give it away or breed it. So anyone on here dont like the way I feel and want to come down on me for it, put yourself in the buyers shoes for a minute. Are you gonna give me references, and can I do a back ground ck on you and can I tell you if this dog gets bigger than 4, 5, etc lbs or its color ends up being yuck or coat being matty, or not shiny or whatever that you have to give me back my money? NO.
[COLOR="purple"]Yes I would give references to anyone who buys my babies...But with this being my 1st litter I can't give any references to anyone for I've never sold any before!!!! COLOR]
So think about what YOU would expect from a seller if you gave them all that info and get nothing in return of what their selling as a guarantee of your money, other than a health guarantee of no genetic defects and such. |
