That is very interesting. I didn't know that milled corn can be considered a protein source. I guess that explains why lots of brands use it as their first ingredient, cause corn is certainly much cheaper than using a true meat protein source.

As long as your dog isn't allergic to corn, it doesn't sound necessarily like a bad thing.

(also not trying to start a debate here) For those with picky eaters who prefer the "lesser" quality brands, might provide some ease of mind.
