I agree. Hopefully it will close up in time but I would keep her with you until at least it's definitely closed up. As much as I'm sure your daughter will take good care of her, I think it's better she stays with you. Children can be very enthusiastic with young puppies and she's very vulnerable for head injuries. It will only take a little bit of rough play and there could be serious problems. You sound to me like you are very competent and able to deal with this so I say keep her
