My yorkie amazes people with her energy. "Hyper" sounds a little negative though. My husband and I prefer "spirited" or "extremely playful" to describe Lucky. We adopted her a few months ago, just before her second birthday. At first, her energy was a bit overwhelming, especially compared to the golden's, labs, and poodles that my friends and neighbors had. Now we adore her. She is very curious. When we are being lazy, she usually will lie around too, but as soon as she hears us getting up, she has to check out what we are doing and see if she can get us to play. Sometimes she will run as fast as possible around the house for no reason at all. Visitors who are used to laid back dogs usually think she is crazy, but people who enjoy an animated, energetic dog can't get enough of her. |
