Scammers often don't ask for alot of money because, that way, they might have an easier time getting it. If they have alot of people answering that ad and paying $60, it can add up to quite a bit of money.

Also keep in mind that some of these scammers will ask for money upfront, then something will come up and they will tell you they have to postpone meeting (or shipping the dog), then they will think of another "fee" or "expense", and so on, and so on.

Are you able to look at this person's IP address from their email? Did you give them personal info, like SS#, etc.? Just be really careful. I know you really want a puppy, but I really think this one is a scam. I almost got taken in by one of these too, and it's sooooo hard! I was depressed for days!!
