I can't give Reese soft food since she is overweight to begin with and she thankfully doesn't have any issues with dry food. I am convinced she would eat tree bark if we fed it to her. What I also have noticed is that her breath is much better. Although Wellness might be very healthy, even though my vet doesn't like it, her breath stunk like fish. Now she has a "normal" odor for dogs and even some people. LOL.
I might go back to giving her canned unsalted string beans which another member had recommended. They are filling and then she can get more vegetables. I am only feeding Reese about 1/4 cup of Hills 2x daily. I hope she will finally feel better and finally lose another pound or two.
I am glad that Angel is doing better. If she is not overweight and is active then I am sure there is nothing wrong with soft food. Many members give it to there yorkies and they are just fine. I am glad she is not vomiting either. Lets both keep our fingers crossed and please do stay in touch. Thanks so much for writing. |
I'm glad Reese is doing better. That's good her breath is better. We have to start giving Angel toothpaste soon and get her used to brushing. We bought poultry flavoured Petrodex toothpaste.
I spoke too soon about Angel not vomiting anymore.
She usually poos after dinner but she didn't last night. When I woke up this morning, I saw she had a big poo. She normally goes in the morning. After I washed her bum, my mom held her while I changed her pad and checked her blanket, which was clean. My mom put her back in her pen while I got her food. I noticed a stain on her blanket, but I can't remember if this was before or after she ate. I assume she vomited while I was getting her food. I guess her stomach was really empty after she went potty. I'll have to talk to the vet about it when we take her tomorrow to have her ears rechecked.
