Awww poor Peeka! I would have felt horrible hearing that scream or cry for help from your baby. I am
paranoid with Diamond and I try to constantly look down before I walk since she is always at my feet. I am sure you learned from this experience as we all have but you have to watch them 24/7, especially when someone is opening/closing the door.
I hope Peeka is doing better. I think I would take the dog to the vet just to be sure but that is me. That way, if something happens or it gets worse, you can't blame yourself or feel guilty.
Have you thought about getting pet insurance? I pay around $25-$30 a month and they cover a lot of things. I am getting Diamond spayed in August and they are paying for that, it's pretty nice! You just send in a claim from the vet stating what they had done and then the insurance company sends you a check once they approve the claim.
