Yes, our breeder did in fact come to our house. She knows our vet. She also spent several hours talking to us. She watched how we interacted with all of her dogs when we were at her house. I would say that is the exception rather than the rule. Many breeders ship their puppies out of state, it does not mean they are not responsible breeders. You are fortunate to have one right in your neighborhood, and she is fortunate if she is able to sell all of her puppies to people who live close by.
