I will just answer your questions, and leave it at that:
Yes, our breeder did in fact come to our house. She knows our vet. She also spent several hours talking to us. She watched how we interacted with all of her dogs when we were at her house. Coincidentally, we are moving to the same street she lives on, on Friday. We still talk. I am quite sure our breeder knows for a fact that Mia came to a loving home. If she has any doubts, she can look out the window during one of our walks and see how pampered Mia is.
