| Huskies and Malamutes shed bad. They will always shed, and twice as much in the summer months.. A hair cut is a good idea for keeping down on the shedding. I use to shave my malamutes. I also used a metal whip. Helped a lot. If you don't know what I'm talking about it looks like a metal band bent in half with teeth on one side fastened to a handle. you brush the dogs hair with it and it pulls all the loose hair out.
Also shaving a dog does not make them cooler. Just makes it easier for you. Dogs are not like humans they do not have sweat glands all over their bodies, like we do. They only sweat in their mouths (thats why they pant) and between their toes. (thats why some dogs like to put their feet in their water dishes.)
