Me again - I didn't mention that I have two dogs, had two cats, and have two birds - so my house is really a zoo.......

But - I have a friend who wants to come from out of town and bring her "three daschunds" along with herself and her husband. This is after she has told me over the phone for the last two years that her three dogs have ruined her carpet and she had to get hardwood floors.

Well - My two dogs have certainly had their fair share of accidents in my house - but this is where they live...and I take them out often and one wears a belly band, etc., and we work hard to keep accidents in the house down to a minimum.

So - what should I tell my girlfriend???? There is no way I want her three dogs staying here for several day, sleeping here, and running all over my house.

Well - probably because I had had a couple glass of wine - I just stepped up to the plate and told her "NO!" I said I have enough problems with the pets I already have - and certainly don't need any more....... I told her that she is welcome to stay at a motel with her dogs and visit me every day all day - or leave her dogs at home and stay with me at my house as long as she wants..... Believe it or not - she just laughed and said that she totally understands....makes sense to her.

Anyway - it hasn't hurt our friendship one bit - and she's still coming to visit.

By the way - I have had many people with a dog stay here with their dog. I don't mind a house-broken dog staying here all. It is never a problem. And, occasionally there has even been an accident - which is not the end of the world....... it just that I can't see having THREE (already known not housebroken little guys) staying here for several days. I would be going crazy. And - if they each pee'd three or four times a day and stayed her for three days - I would have about 30-plus accidents on my carpet. Not for me!

And - I'm easy going - and love dogs to pieces..... apparently there is a limit for everyone.
