I have a friend who had a bad experience with her pets - pooping, peeing, etc. She has new hardwood floors and new area rugs and has only one cat today. She really doesn't like dogs to visit the "inside of her house," and I totally respect that. Since it's summer, I have visited her often and we sit out on the patio and my little Yorkie runs all over and has a great time.

I would really feel bad if my little peeing machine decided to pee in her house. I am very careful with him at anyone's house....even if they insist that I don't worry about it so much.

My dog is fairly well potty trained and almost never has an accident in the house if I take him out every few hours --- and he never has an accident during the night. However, I can't guarantee he'll never have an accident at someone elses house....

Don't let it bother you. Go without your dog - or don't go. Personally, I would visit without my dog occasionally and have a good time.

I agree with you. If someone doesnt want a dog in their house people should respect that. Besides, the dog will be fine for a few hours by itself, it's not the end of the world. When I bring Rocky to my moms she wants me to keep a constant eye on him, follow him from room to room because everytime he goes their, he has to pee and poo in the house. I respect that, because before she didnt want to even bring him in there! When she didnt want me to bring him in their though, I didnt, I kept him outside. It wasn't the end of the world, and we all survived, and there were no family fights or bickering over it, and my feelings were NOT hurt!
