People have adopted kids from foreign countries for years, even with the number of kids in foster care in America has risen since the 80's to ridiculous numbers, but the kids here do have a better chance at an education and or health and family...In a country like Africa a newborn child who parents have died from AIDS, are left at the orphanage, many times neglected and/or forgot about. Do, half of you know what GOES on IN HAITI!! But, yet she went...
I watch the new( I am a nerd, I watch CNN, FOX NEW, MSNBC) so I am pretty up tp date on a lot of stuff that most people my age don't give a darn about..I read papers that are not in the checkout aisle at Winn Dixie...
This thread isn't fun, it's cruel..It's ok to have a friendly disagreement about someone being a homewrecker, and someone making sucky movies....But, making cruel remarks about the kids they adopted, and their work, and why they are doing it... |
Like it was stated many posts ago, if you don't like the contents of this thread, don't read or post in it. It's not like the title was deceiving or anything. You think Angelina is the best thing since sliced bread and me along with many others think she's just a trashy attention seeker. Africa is not the only place that has poverty and disease. Take a look at our own country. Since you don't buy the papers at Winn Dixie, I would think you would see that. But it's ok if we don't agree. I really don't care who agrees or disagrees with me or my views, because that is just what they are, our own personal views. No one was personally attacking each other, just debating reasons why they like/dislike this celebrity. IN MY OPINION, she just adopted those kids for media attention and she didn't pay as much as the ONE website says she did. It's easy to have a website dedicated to you and your works and paint in all pretty, but there are far more websites describing her problems from drugs to her open sexual actions and language in public...GREAT ROLE MODEL MISS AMBASSADOR. There are plenty of everyday people like you and me that do a heck of a lot more but I just don't stay for the photo ops I guess.
She's an awful role model and just because she visits a country, it does not make her a saint. MOST celebrities have a hidden agenda for everything they do. There are people that advise them, they are called publicists. But I guess the papers at Winn Dixie probably don't talk about that either
