are you sure he was not being sarcastic? I would hope he was. Some people just dont get the way we feel about are yorkies, maybe if you did take Buddy with you they would see what a wonderful breed the yorkie is and decide to get one themselves.
Do you have an ex-pen to take along with you? that would help with him going outside potty, now having just dirt and weeds in there back yard is another issue. Is he pee pad trained? If he was then it would or should be no dig deal.
