I wouldn't let it bother me one bit. I love my dog as much as anyone loves their dog. And, he goes visiting we me a lot - But, people have the right to make their own rules in their own home. And, it's not my place to argue with that. It sure doesn't hurt my feelings at all.

I have a friend who had a bad experience with her pets - pooping, peeing, etc. She has new hardwood floors and new area rugs and has only one cat today. She really doesn't like dogs to visit the "inside of her house," and I totally respect that. Since it's summer, I have visited her often and we sit out on the patio and my little Yorkie runs all over and has a great time.

I would really feel bad if my little peeing machine decided to pee in her house. I am very careful with him at anyone's house....even if they insist that I don't worry about it so much.

My dog is fairly well potty trained and almost never has an accident in the house if I take him out every few hours --- and he never has an accident during the night. However, I can't guarantee he'll never have an accident at someone elses house....

Don't let it bother you. Go without your dog - or don't go. Personally, I would visit without my dog occasionally and have a good time.
