Default Thanks

Actually I was active duty Navy when our country decided to take action. My husband was deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His destroyer was one that sent the missles up. So in a sense he has blood on his hands. I think many people wanted a war and now have lost sight or simply changed their minds. Maybe too many big desicions were made in haste. But we can't change what our country has done. We can just learn from it and build from there. He's being sent back to the M.E in September, two months before our baby is due.

It would be nice if the movie brought attention back to the armed services. But I think the movie will focus more on the heroics of the firefighters and policemen which do deserve credit. The pride that the US showed in yellow ribbons after September 11th was very touching to me. But unfortunately it takes things like that for many Americans to find pride and love in our country. Some country bands out there are even saying that pride in your country is "stupid." It would be a shame if we all thought that way. Excuse me for not being optimisitc but I don't think a movie will bring back American pride.
