my breeder told me a cool thing to do with the lettuce. take a head of lettuce, rip it into piece and put it in a blender with some water. Blend it up really well and then put the liquid into ice cube trays. They make great treats for the dogs on a hot day. My breeder told me about this when i told her my puppy was eating grass when we were outside. I tried the ice cube trick and Morgan loved it.
