I was lucky with Cali, I bought her a dog play pen so one end zips open so I can leave it open when I am home and zip it when I am gone. I but her bedding at one end and her pee pad at the other and have from the day i got her at 9 weeks. She loves her playpen and goes in there to nap and if she sees me getting ready to go out she goes in their for me to zip up. This is the first dog I have ever crated and it worked out well. But I think 2 things helped, one the Breeder kept her in a playpen so she was use to it and I have another dog who lays by her playpen. Also,I have always kept the playpen in my bedroom and she is never alone for more than 2 hours. I do think they get use to it if you just persevere which ca be hard to do. Good luck. |
