I'm just scared not to have something to keep her in. She is so tiny and I do want her safe.

I'm sorry doortego!!! I completely forgot to say anything about the crate. I don't crate either of mine - I did crate Rowdy last year when he was a puppy. I just used a crate I got from petsmart, a generic one, I think. I have no idea of the brand??? Rex cried and cried when I put him in the crate, so I stopped and now don't crate either of them. We have no problem leaving them in the 5th wheel when we go somewhere - neither of them potty on the floor and they both sleep with us, so we don't have any use for a crate now. Sorry that I am no help!

The carseat mention is a good one though. We use one in town, we have a console carseat and a buddy lookout - but on loooong trips like we just took (3500 miles), they stay in them most of the time (best) but not always (not so good) because they get so tired of the carseat and need a break. You don't want to put her in a crate when you are driving because if there is a sudden stop, she will hit the side of the crate- it's just as dangerous as using nothing.

The other thing to watch out for traveling is trash on the ground when you stop to let them potty. Rowdy doesn't pick up anything off the ground, but Rexy will eat ANYTHING. I have to watch him like a hawk!!!

Good luck with the camping!!!
