The dose of furosemide is 1-3mg/pound of body weight given two or three times a day. Dogs taking furosemide usually drink and urinate more frequently. While on this drug the dog should receive a potassium supplement such as Morton’s NuSalt. |
hummmm, I thought I was doing a good job at this. Now I am scared to death again because the doc didn't even tell me about the potassium supplement. You would think he would have said something. ? Thank you again for the info , I need to talk more frankly with the vet I think, cause this is a battle for life here.
