Well, as far as dehydration, that is exactly what the vet is trying to accomplish with the Lasix. The whole idea is to get rid of the excess fluid.

As far as potassium loss, check with your doc. He can be given potassium supplements if necessary. I'd also check with your doc about giving electrolyte solutions and Rebound as both contain sodium (which increases fluid retention - not what someone with congestive heart failure needs).
