I would take the small crate. If you're going to crate train they only need room to stand and turn around and lie down. Some put a pee pad in the crate, but to me that just teaches them to go in the crate. As for automatic feeders, I've not had any experince with them. I give my babies fresh water every 3 - 4 hours so I'll probably stick witht the bowls.
