Thank you ever so much for your insights! Since relocating to Virginia, I had only been to this Vet only once for what I thought to be a broken leg. So, I guess I didn't give this new Vet a fair chance. I took my concerns to their office today and was referred to an affiliate office that specializes in small breeds. They even afforded me what I feel to be a MAJOR discount on the procedures at $110 for both!
I am still very nervous and concerned; but I know that for me that I am doing the right thing - Especially, after going through the fiasco of Muffin's first season!
However, knowing that I am taking my furbabies to small breed specialists is some what relieving. I will keep you posted... And, again thanks!
