Was there mistrust? If there is no trust, it is hard to make something work out.
Maybe he wasn't the "One". Consider him a stepping stone.
Maybe it is your time for you to be self-sufficient, and not with someone for a while. That will give you strength and confidence.
I know it hurts, there is nothing worse than a broken heart, but I PROMISE you, it goes away. And one day, you will look back and say, "Ha, I am so glad I am not with him!"
If he is not willing to go to counselling to work things out, then maybe that means he really doesn't want things to work out, period.
Don't take the break up personally either! You are not any less of a person because it didn't work out.

I just miss him so much right now... two nights that I havent slept by his side...just hurts.

He is my love, my bestfriend.... i know i can get back on my feet... but i want to do all of this by his side..and show him how we can learn to get over this, and be happy again.
