Hi!

Welcome to YorkieTalk!

Good luck in finding a puppy. Yorkies really are the BEST little dogs.
A breeder cannot guarantee what a yorkie puppy will grow up to look like. But, to get the best idea of what the puppy will look like full grown, you need to look at the parents and grandparents (if possible...obviously sometimes it is not an option to look at the grandparents). If both parents are small, then most likely the puppy will grow up to be small. But, if both parents are small, but one of the grandparents is big, then the puppy could grow up to be big! You can aslo get a estimate of how much the puppy will weigh full-grown by looking at this chart:
*Note: convert your puppy weight to ounces 16oz equals 1 pound
This chart will approximate your puppy's weight at different ages up to 18 months
*Example: 10 week old puppy current weighs 2.2 lbs
conversion 16 X 2 + 2 = 34 ounces
next find puppy's current age to the left then follow along until you find 34;
next follow to the bottom of that column estimated adult weight is 5lbs.
*Remember this is a gauge*. *Most babies will slow weight gain after six months of age*. .

Really the only way to tell what a puppy's coloring will be is to look at the parents and grandparents. If you want a yorkie with a darker gray coat instead of light silver, then you should probably get a puppy from parents whose coats are BOTH dark grey. However, there is no possible way for a breeder to guarantee what color a puppy's coat will turn out to be.
The most desired trait for faces is what is called the "babydoll face"...short ears and short muzzle. Again, you should be able to get a good idea of what your puppy's face will look like full grown by looking at the parents. But, you should already be able to tell if the puppy has short ears and a short muzzle.
The only difference in AKC and CKC is that AKC is the American Kennel Club and CKC is the Canadian Kennel Club. They both basically do the same thing...register dogs. Some people prefer one over the other, but I personally don't care as long as my pups are registered.
That is EXCELLENT that she offers a health guarantee. Reputible breeders will guarantee their puppies against birth defects, so this is a good sign that she offers this guarantee.
I am not familiar with yorkies being prone to eye problems such as cataracts. However, this can really happen to ANY dog. All you really can do is make sure both parents are healthy before buying your pup. That is the safest bet against your pup developing any of these problems.
Yorkie puppies will start off with coarse hair...this is called a "puppy coat," and they will lose it as they get older. Some yorkies will have silky hair as adults, which is desired, and some will have cottony coats. Again, the only way to get a good idea of what type of coat your puppy will turn out with is to see what type of coat the parents have. I am assuming you want a silky coat, so make sure BOTH parents of the puppy have a silky coat.
$899 is a very good price for a yorkie. I paid $850 for one of mine and $900 for the other.
There is a lot of debate on whether there is any difference in male and female yorkies. I used to think that males were more affectionate and loving and more eager to please and that females were more independant. BUT, I now have a male and a female who are brother and sister, and now I think that there is no difference in males and females as far as which one is more loving. I think it is all in the way you raise them and has a lot to do with the temperment of the parents. The parents of my two yorkies were very loving and laid back, so that his how their puppies are!
Good luck finding the puppy of your dreams! Please feel free to send me a private message if you have any specific questions for me. I would love to help in any way that I can!
