Rescue puppy at two weeks The little puppy that we are fostering is two weeks old. He is up to 5 1/2 ounces and holding his own. Reva is being a wonderful foster mom to him.
She is taking care of him and her own puppies that were born the middle of June.
Lucky as I call him has his eyes open- and seems to want to keep up with his foster brother and sisters.
The big kids are on the move sitting up and making growling sounds. I can't wait until I hear that first little bark. It is like the first time my children said their first word.
I have to make a decision soon on Lucky. His owner was to have sent me a check to cover his medical expenses- as of yet no check. I had explained to his owner that I was not going to pay for any medical bills for the little guy. My generosity ends when it comes to my checkbook and a puppy that belongs to someone else. I am afraid that she wants the puppy but does not want to spend the money in case he dies. I know if I pay for the vet bill and he dies I will have a hard time getting reinbursement. Due to his size I had been able to hold out in getting his tail docked but my time is running out. |
