I love the ingenious way you have the weave poles set up with the green walls (for lack of a better description). We haven't learned weave poles yet, but I watched another class do it with xpen fences lining the poles. I always wondered how they taught weave poles!
Has Dixie started a formal class yet? She's doing great! |

You gotta love that green garden netting - it's so useful for all kinds of things!
Dixie's first class starts on the 27th of this month and already she's better at working independently than the Dougal baby is! (that's why she's the star of the videos and not Dougal.)
There's an agility comp on this weekend so i'm going to go along and see if I can pick up some tips!
We train differently at my agility club. We teach everything at the same time, which makes for a pretty full on training schedule but it's still all fun. DOugal's got Left and Right down pat now!
If you want to get that recall zippy again you might want to try only rewarding Eddie when he comes the first time you call - though I'm sure you know that. This works particularly well if you can reward Jack for coming the first time. (Dougal is a green eyed monster and doesn't like it if I make a big fuss of Dixie). I also found that if I make Dougal wait and move quite a way away from him then recall that gets the recall a bit snappier!
Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. I love working my dogs for agility and cute tricks and they love it too!
