Good morning Shirley. Cannot tell you how delighted I am that I fell onto you. You sound more knowlegable than my vet. I forgot to mention that Lexee has been on Vanectyl-P (prednisone) since May. We have been decreasing the dosage and she is now on 1/4 pill every second day. Of course this is for the itch. However I am not happy with this medication for her, so I am weaning her off it completely. I started giving her Bendedryl the past few days to take the place of the prednisone. My vet diagnosed her as having Atopic Dermatitis. OF course I have researched this endlessly via the internet, and from her symptoms and the internet, they seem to be the same. However every time I had her groomed in the past she would come home with these red ears, and the groomer would tell me about it. I used to use Surolan for her ears, where it would make her ears extremely red, so I stopped using this. Told my vet about this and he suggested Otomax, which is doing the exact same thing as the Surolan. Making her ears very red. Yes, her stomach seems to be very bloated, and I was told that she is "fat". From what she eats, she should not be fat. sorry that this message is so long, but my eyes took in everything that you sent re "yeast" and a lot of the symptoms they write about could relate also to Lexee. To daate I have spent about two thousand dollars, and am in the same place with her. Thinking of taking her for a second opinion. What do you think about this. My email address is
