ok.... I sent you a long Private Message on something that I read......but, in ans to your question...
Yes.....I have been in the drug business for 16 years....and I find things like this interesting. You know I am not sure if there is a antifungal that is over the counter. My guess is your Yorkie has been tested for all the big things....diabetes, cancer....etc? I will tell you, once they get out of balance, and that is what is happened....it will take a lot of time and patience to get her back to normal... one question....did you say that this has just happened recently? Out of the blue? Or after an illness where she was on a medication from the Vet? I am not quite so sure that I believe the Vet that says it is not a food allergy....but that is just my gut.........if you have kids.....when they are little...they can get thrush....it is a yeast infection in the mouth......the old way of treating it is with a purple dye treatment...genzinviolet.....painted in the mouth....it is wild actually, probably docs cringe at that product now a days.....more costly remedies now.....but, it is gotten from the bottle nipple or breast.....anywhere it is warm and moist......makes sense right? Anyway.....think of it like a detective.....keep reading.....I will too.....and maybe we will both fall upon something that explains what is happening...
The best thing you can do is to be informed.....and smart when you speak with him/her.....they will know that you have researched this and that they can not just blow you off when you question their remedy. They tend to treat..."educated" patients....better....when you can question their treatment options.
Stay in touch..
