Mitzis Mom Thank you so much for your reply. She has been on a Lamb and Potatoe diet which I cooked for the past 10 weeks, and there was no change in her. So this is why my vet came to the conclusion that she is not food allergic. I am now feeding her Natural Balance duck and potatoe which is an all natural food, and specifically for allergies, even though she is not allergic to food as he says, but I am trying this, as my friend's dog had a bit of the same problem with her dog, and this food cleared him up. So I am trying everything possible, as the vet wants to do a skin test which can be done only after the summer. I am so worried that she will be in pain with the skin test. Would really not like to give her this test, but if I have to I will.
And no she does not have yeast on her skin as she was tested for this.I have had dogs all of my life, and this is the most maddening thing I am going through with my little Lexee. I am heartsick over this. Thinking of getting another opinion, although the dermatologist I am using now is one of the best here. But sometimes two heads are better than one. Thanks again for your nice reply. |
