Sounds like the same problem here too. Maggie is 10 weeks old. We also have heelers. My female heeler hates everyone and anything that even gets close to me. When we brought Maggie home, I was very concerned what Pepper might do. One chomp and Maggie would have been lunch. Well, I would have lost a fortune if I had placed a bet on it. Pepper allows Maggie to search along her tummy for something to eat. Pepper also brings Maggie toys to play with. When we are outside and I'm telling Maggie PP, PP, my heeler will PP beside her, then just look at her like this is what you are suppose to do. I'm still in shock. Pepper has never in her life had a heat cycle or even been around puppies. She sure does have a great maternal instinct. Great baby sitter too. |
