Adie was also doing everything long before she was expected to and we both thought she would be OK. I am not inexperienced with dogs. All of my dogs have been rescues (most with medical problems) except for Adie. Adie is my life-long dream for a dog.
So the breeder and I BOTH made an error in judgement. Won't happen again though! Thank God for my new Yorkie Talk friends.

Don't beat yourself up too much about bringing her home early. I brought both of mine home before 12 weeks...one at 8 weeks and one at 7 weeks. The breeder let me take them early bc, like Adie, they were doing so well. But things happen, and I could have just as easily been in your position. The breeder did tell me that if anything happened to not hesitate to bring them back to her to let her care for them. Obviously this was not a viable option for you since your breeder lives far away. But, that is okay...you are a very good mommy...you did all the right things for your baby. Since it is this breeders first experience breeding, I do think it is a good idea to just call her and insist on her keeping her puppies longer so this won't happen to someone else.
I know it is hard when you first bring a little yorkie puppy home, but I am sure that Adie will grow to be a healthy dog and a wonderful companion for you. I promise you won't regret getting a yorkie.
Glad to hear that little Adie is out of the woods at the moment. Please continue to update us as you get information. I will continue to keep her in my prayers until she is well.
