I have taken Mya everywhere, Our doctor asks where she is if I don't show up with her, so does the dentist. She has been to several sports events. Restaurants, peoples homes, hotels even the hospital. I take her in her carry bag. Most think it is a duffle bag. Mya is very quiet, probably because I have exposed her to so many places. Yesterday at the the cottage it was thundering and lighting so I took out side in my arms and did not jump at the thunder. She was not even afraid of the fireworks. I think it is important to take your Yorkie out and about so that is not afraid of noises. I bought a simple walmart stroller and took the seat out so that her travel bag would fit in it. I take her in the malls in her stroller if it is going to be a long trip. Mya has also traveled from Toronto to Florida and back by plane and was super good. I always get compliments about her good behavior. She now learned to jump from the bed. Our little girl has grown up and now.........I would love a puppy for a play mate for her. I just have to make sure it is small enough since I will have to carry two pups around. The important thing is not to draw a crowd (hard not to with such a cute dog) or let the dog hang out of the purse/bag too much. I have had a couple of people scream like they have seen a rat....LOL I have only been asked to leave a store once in 14 months. You would think that I would be asked to leave the grocery stores but that has never happened. |
