Trust me, I know how you feel! When my babies started coughing, I took them to the vet. The vet told me that they were just getting used to the AC and not to worry too much. Their coughs eventually went away completely. I am sure you already know this, but make sure you use a harness, not a collar, to prevent a collaped trachea.
