A lot depends on genetics as well as the parents. My Roxie is approx 6.5/7 lbs lbs
yet her mom is 6lbs and her father is 4lbs. Her sister is only 3lbs. Like a box of chocolate- you never know what you are going to get. When I used the growth chart for Roxie, she should have top out at 5lbs. But I love her so and don't care what weight she turns out to be! I think the growth charts are just an estimate and you have to take into consideration genetics and parents when figuring out the weight.
