I agree. Ginger still attacks Fun Kitty sometimes and yet I've learned that he can EASILY avoid her and even back her off when he chooses. Sounds like your puppy's just playing (you even said he bites hard like shes one of the toys). Anyway, cats are pretty smart (as a dog lover it pains me to say this...but I think they're smarter than most dogs), and your animals will work this out. I used to wish Ginger and FK would be "friends" (I had images of them cuddling), but see now that they get along in their own way. Interestingly, Kirby (the old dog and the animal who's lived here the longest) and Fun Kitty will often sleep on the same bed...If Fun Kitty's there first Kirby just lays down beside him. I think when I brought the puppy (Ginger, now almost 2) into the house it just cemented the older guys friendship. lol |
