With medication daily for three months and a bath in medicated shampoo, I am happy to say that he is beautiful now. Our plan was to find him a new home because we already have several dogs, but he has found a home with us. I wish I could rescue every animal that is homeless. I spoke with the local animal shelter after we picked him up and they said they would take him but would most likely have to put him down. She also told me that they have many animals that just need someone to visit them and hold them because they are so scared. I am trying to get enough courage to do this, but I am not sure I can handle some of the situations. Just thinking about makes me weep. God bless the people that try to take care of these animals. The video was heart breaking but needs to be viewed by many.
WHAT A NICE STORY and way to go ! As the mom of a beautiful Black Cocker that would have probably never been sold as a puppy due to her severe underbite... I can testify that they are great dogs and that poor cocker deserved a chance...being put down just because of a skin condition is SAD and unnecessary !

The Shelters are just too full to treat these animals and I know that wasn't their intention when they opened - I bet they all had high hopes of saving animals but the problem is SO severe they are just too overloaded... we all can learn from your post....and thank you for saving that Cocker Spaniel.
