I'm so sorry to hear of your little Sedrick falling! Poor little guy! Kisses and hugs from Maddie and I! I have not heard of dogs with herniated discs in their neck, but I have one so I know how painful they can be. My mom recently had a herniated disk in her lower back which she is slowly recovering from. I don't know if it's the same with dogs as with humans, but with humans, 70% of the time, they heal on their own without any drastic measures...other than PT and pain killers. Your puppy is still quite young, so I'm thinking...and hoping, that he will heal up and have no lasting effects. I would think it would be a good idea to not let him jump onto and off of furniture, but regular movement is good as it keeps the muscles in tone, which will give more support to the herniated area. This is only my thoughts and I'm no expert...hope you get some more insight from others here! Best wishes to you and your little Sedrick...I'll say a prayer for his recovery!
