I will tell you that the longer you keep her the more confused she will get if you sell her down the road. There really is no need to even consider putting her down at this stage of the game as I am sure rescue would step in and place her in a home without other dogs or puppies and spay her. The only time Rescue will consider putting a dog down is if they are human biters and in my situation I have adopted 4 of the biters that were turned over to rescue. Also, don't get all caught up in the Alpha situation unless you have read a great deal about it, more harm can be done. The most important thing is to give her a calm environment for the time being and stop thinking in terms of human emotions when it comes to what she does. Also, if you read any reputable Yorkie website it will tell you Yorkies should not go into a home with someone under 12 years of age. Now we all know there are exceptions to the rule but generally speaking Yorkies don't like little kids because of the noise level and the action. It would also not be good to place her in a home with another large dog because she could feel the need to defend herself and provocate an attack. She is confused, scared and not sure what her boundries are and only time and love will correct some of her issues. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I know that a lot of people will think I'm wrong but I want to keep her and I have decided to breed her. I can't take the chance that she will find a way to hurt Laci's babies. I think if she is busy with her own babies they will be her whole world. I will continue to keep her separate for all the babies safety and I will be right there when she whelps to protect them if they need it.

I do think like you said that she has a lot of confusion and is scared. I lock the puppies up and let her run the house. I sit next to the xpen where the babies are and if she tries to get close to the pen, I growl. She backs off immediately. I was told that this teaches her that I am the alpha and the babies are mine. She will come and get in my lap but as long as she stays away from the pen I am silent. I don't think the challenges are over but I think she knows I'm the one she has to deal with.

My future dil has a chow/lab mix and Tinker gets along with all the other dogs and humans in the house. I don't know if it is the noise the babies make or if she thinks that if she can't have any none should exist. She is a wonderful dog, I just can't see letting her go at this point. Sylvia
