Water! a bowl, wet wipes, treats, small safety scissors (for picked up stickers etc.) the rabies vaccination tag, a picture and a blanket. We always have our transportable play pen with us so Mitzi feels 'at home' in the hotel room. It's also much better if you have to leave your baby alone for a short time. This way you can be sure there will be no accidents on the carpet and nothing bad can happen if somebody comes into the room. Of course we always hang out the 'Do not disturb' sign, but you never know.
As for the beach: at some beaches dogs are allowed, at some not. Mostly there are signs up so you'll know. Mitzi loooooooves the beach and chasing all the birds!
